Lucky Lou

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Lucky Lou is a gentle boy who is dreaming of being a cherished family member. He would love a family that will include him in their adventures. Whether it's going for a drive, going for a walk or just hanging out on the couch this guy is ready when you are. Lucky Lou is energetic and enthusiastic. His foster mom tells us that he is the perfect blend of active companion and easygoing housemate. He makes friends wherever he goes but can be cautious around men at first. He thrives with patient, understanding people who will give him time to build trust and feel safe. Once he is your friend he is your friend for life!

Lucky Lou gets along with other dogs, cats, chickens and children. He would be the perfect fit for just about any family. This sweet boy is fully potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has excellent house and leash manners. He's comfortable relaxing in a crate but can also be trusted loose in the house when you're away. One of his standout qualities is his fantastic recall—he loves staying connected with his people and comes when called.

Lucky Lou recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also received a dental with extractions. Lucky Lou is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is 10 years old and weighs 12 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
