Harriet's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Harriet is longing for a loving home and family to call her own. Her foster calls her spicy but loving and that is a perfect description of this little girl. Harriet is a tender hearted girl who just wants to belong. This little cutie is ready to go when you are. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or going for a drive Harriet is the best sidekick. She also loves going for walks in the neighborhood and might even like trail walking.

Harriet, like most Chihuahuas, bonds quickly with one person. She has shown some fear when it comes to men but she is slowly learning that they are pretty cool...especially when they come bearing snacks. Harriet will need a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to adapt to her new home and surroundings. A calm, predictable routine will be an amazing start and exactly what Harriet needs. She has shown good house manners but, with the rainy season upon us, she needs a little convincing to potty outside.

Harriet recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She was also spayed and received a dental with extractions of her remaining teeth. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Harriet is 10 years old and weighs 6 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
