MEET CHANEL!

This itty bitty pittie joined City of Elderly Love because her former family was relocating and couldn't bring pets along. Chanel is somewhere around the age of 6-8 years old though you'd think she was barely an adult with those puppy-like looks and wiggly personality! This "forever puppy" is basically the best of both worlds: ALWAYS up for an adventure like car rides, trips to the beach, romps in the yard, or just good old fashioned walks around the block but can also settle down nicely when it's time to chill. Now that Chanel has caught up on vet care and settled into her foster home, she's ready to land the perfect FOREVER home.

Chanel's got an unmatched zest for life. She'll dazzle you and your visitors with her charm - quickly becoming everyone's best friend! You'll rarely see her not wagging her tail or wiggling in delight. One of Chanel's favorite things to do is look for fallen sticks, branches, (she'll even sometimes take it right off the tree!) and carry them around like trophies. This girl will keep you laughing too - sometimes you'll look over at her and she'll look back with her lips stuck to her teeth. She already knows basic commands and is very treat motivated and eager to please! Chanel is a social butterfly and has lived with dogs, cats and kids in the past and is currently happily living with other dogs. She has done great meeting new people in and outside of her foster home including kids who she was so sweet and gentle with. We suggest a home with older kids since she can be very playful and bouncy. Chanel has been fully vetted since coming to us and has proven to be a healthy girl!

Chanel may need some time and patience to settle into her future home. She's a gentle soul who seems sensitive to change. She was anxious during the first couple weeks of joining the rescue and needed to learn the new rules and schedule in the home in order to decompress and settle down. Once she settled in, she's back to her wiggly little energetic self! We're hoping Chanel can find an experienced adopter who can provide the patience and routine she needs during the transition. With a few weeks of gentle guidance and plenty of love, Chanel will blossom!
