Meet Bailee
Here's a great update on how Bailee is doing in her foster home (and those new photos - do you not LOVE the big smile on her face now?):
"She is learning the stairs [to yard] really well. Maybe not all the spacial areas quite as fast, but she is picking up on going down and coming back up all on her own. She is highly food motivated and there is no issue with reaching into her dish or taking away a bone. Bowels seem consistent, and no issues holding it to go outside. Doesn't mind being touched, and settles down in front of the fire on a dog bed. She is doing just fine with her crate, and doesn't complain much ever about anything. **Someone needs to cherish this sweet girl for the rest of her days.**"
And, dear reader, that's where you step in. Bailee is still in need of a home of her own. Is that you? Here's a little more history on this sweet old girl:
Due to some major life changes in the family, including young children who are allergic, senior girl Bailee is in need of a new home ASAP.
Bailee is a 10 yo spayed female who is also blind. She lost her sight several years ago due to unknown causes - the owner says she is 100% blind. She has lived with other dogs, but since her sight loss became more irritable and aggressive with a Labrador she lived with for years. We are told she is not good with small dogs and her owner feels she would be best in a home with no other animals and no small children.
She is very friendly with new people and would do well with someone who has a little extra time for her. Because dogs orient so well through their nose/scent, sight loss is usually very manageable.
