Moonshine's Story

Meet Moonshine! A friend to all, one of Moonshines favorite activities is rubbing against you and asking for pets. If you are searching for a lap cat, then look no further. While Moonshine might be a little shy at first around strangers, it doesn't take long before he happily makes another friend. After all he has a big heart-shaped white spot on his tummy! Born around April 2021, Moonshine will thrive in a calm home where he can receive as much love and cuddles as possible. If you don't want him to sleep with you at night, he may meow at the door - but will typically stop after about 20 minutes. Moonshine does not like loud noises, raised voices or sudden movements, as his ACC shelter notes indicate a former owner was unkind to him. We do not recommend him for young children. Moonshine is so eager for a do-over - will that be with you?

Anjellicle Cats Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is as follows. We have all interested adopters complete an application which can be found on our website www.anjelliclecats.com. Please note some foster caregivers are comfortable introducing you to their cat via FaceTime or similar platform. Others still prefer a hand-to-paw meeting. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a seminar in cat care that lasts about 75 minutes. We invite both experienced and novice alike and are presently offering this as a Zoom session. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows and a generally safe environment for a cat. Then we coordinate pick up by the adopter or drop off by the foster, depending on what both parties are comfortable doing. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, and $75 for one cat 7 years and older. This fee includes initial shots, microchipping, deworming, and spay/neuter.
